Cloth bags, net, wheeled market bags or baskets has been in use for some time for shopping, meaning a sharp decrease in the use of 6 nylon bags a week, 24 per month, 288 annually and 20.160 for a mean of 70 year long life time, individually. If one out of every five people, living in Turkey, quits the use of plastic bags, in this case, this would mean the consumption of less than 37 billion pieces of plastic bags in 70 years. In Bozcaada, which has a very important place in terms of tourism, there will be an increase in the incoming number of tourists, owing to less pollution of nature and sea following the ban on plastic bags.
