Netpak Ambalaj, which has left behind 40 years in the packaging industry and currently has 42 patents and 30 utility models, continues its activities as an R&D Center affiliated to the Ministry of Industry and Technology with the technology company Ultrapak Makina, which it established in 2017. Stating that they are the company that produces the world's first ultrasonically welded nonwoven fabric carrying bag and automation machine with their R&D studies, Netpak Ambalaj Chairman of the Board Ali Avcı said that they lead the world in the production and technology of bags from polypropylene raw material and nonwoven and woven fabrics.

Our product 'Practical Market Bag' was deemed worthy of many awards. With our product, which we call NETSTRONG, which has a patented and competency award, we have developed a carrying bag with increased strength and carrying capacity by using less material. Our eco-friendly bag, which we produce from recycled material, consists of a multi-layered structure. Another innovative product, NETPAPER, which is still in the works, is a more luxurious and durable carrying bag thanks to the combination of kraft material and nonwoven material." THE USE OF PLASTIC BAG INCREASED

Reminding that the issue that plastic bags will be banned since the 1980s, Avcı said that they made their investments in line with this foresight and continued: There are various practices in Turkey to limit the use of plastic bags and to encourage substitute products for nature-friendly bags.Plastic bags were charged in our country as of 2019, but the price of bags was not increased until 2023. Therefore, the targeted reductions in consumption could not be achieved, even instead of consumer garbage bags, plastic bags were used. 25 cents is not a deterrent for conscious bag consumption in 2023. Therefore, bag prices should be increased, consumer awareness should be raised about the use of eco-friendly cloth bags. We think that there will be many new companies producing environmentally friendly bags and that companies that currently produce plastic bags will contribute to the protection of nature by making production in this field. Environmentally friendly approach will be the driving force for sustainable value creators like us. We must turn trends into opportunities for our world. This newly developing and rapidly growing sector should be encouraged to take a large share of this market, first in the country and then abroad, both as a machine and a product.”
